Marcatir is designed for people searching for cheap items in Nigeria, clearance deals, and fairly-used or second-hand products across everyday categories.
Prices
No middlemen. Buyers and sellers transact directly, eliminating retail markups and distributor costs.
People sell items they no longer need at clearance prices. Fairly-used, pre-owned, and bulk clearance deals at 30-70% below retail.
Our community discussions reveal fair prices, scam warnings, and negotiation tips. Make informed decisions with real buyer experiences.
The community
Ask "Is ₦50k fair for a used fridge?" and get honest answers from people who have bought similar items. Community-validated pricing beats guessing.
Learn which sellers to avoid, common scam tactics, and how to protect yourself. Real experiences from real buyers in Nigeria.
"Tokunbo vs locally used — which lasts longer?" Get answers from people who have used both. Make better decisions before buying.
Learn how to negotiate prices, what questions to ask sellers, and when to walk away. Community wisdom saves you money.
Payments
Marcatir supports direct buyer–seller transactions. When both parties agree to transact, payments may be processed through Paystack strictly for marketplace exchanges, with the explicit consent of the buyer and seller.
Funds are released to the seller once agreed conditions are met, such as confirmation of delivery. Platform moderators are available as a support layer to help resolve disputes or confirm transaction completion when needed.
This approach is designed to encourage trust, transparency, and accountability while keeping transactions focused on the exchange of goods only.
Marcatir is not a licensed financial institution and does not provide banking, lending, investment, or wallet services. All payments processed on the platform are tied solely to specific marketplace transactions between users.
Marcatir is actively evolving. Features, policies, and processes may continue to improve as we learn from real user feedback.
