“Don't judge her.”

“She may not be jobless by choice.”

“Marry her and build her.”

Fine. But should the same grace not apply to men?

Nobody should be mocked for being unemployed. Jobs disappear, businesses fail and people sometimes struggle through circumstances beyond their control. The real issue is not simply whether someone has a job. It is whether the person has direction, discipline, skills, ambition and a willingness to build.

A woman earning ₦100,000 is not automatically a liability. A woman earning ₦1 million is not automatically an asset. The same applies to men.

A person with little money but a strong work ethic and good character may be a better spouse than someone earning plenty but bringing entitlement, reckless spending and zero responsibility into the marriage.

So stop telling men to ignore financial reality in the name of love.

Marriage is not a rehabilitation centre.

You can choose to build with someone who is still struggling, but make sure you are choosing their character and trajectory, not merely hoping their potential will eventually become reality.

Most importantly, apply the same standard you expect others to accept.

If a woman is free to reject a broke man, a man is free to reject a woman who has no direction.

If you believe unemployment does not determine someone's worth, apply it to both sexes.

Fairness cannot mean one standard for choosing and another standard for being chosen.

The funny part is that when she was desperately asking for help, her church was there, but nobody considered helping her financially.” She revealed that the decision angered some of the siblings and their father, while her sister also became upset over their reaction. The woman explained that her sister claimed she did not know the money came with “conditions,” insisting that she would not have accepted it if she had been told not to pay tithe from the funds.

The family eventually left her to make her own decisions. However, the situation took another turn when the sister recently asked the family for another ₦500,000 to add to the same business. According to the woman, nobody had responded to the request, leaving her amused by the situation. “I’m just reading the group chat like a Netflix series,” she added.

The story has sparked reactions, with some questioning the decision to use business capital for tithe, while others argued that the sister had the right to decide how to spend money given to her.

For now, the family WhatsApp group remains silent as the woman watches to see if anyone will respond to the latest ₦500,000 request. Check the post below…

Husband reveals what makes him choose his wife The man said the thought of losing his wife makes him reconsider moments when small disagreements could push him away from her.

He said, “That’s what I imagine whenever I’m annoyed with my wife. Whenever something small makes me want to pull away, I imagine another man getting all the little pieces of her that I have right now.” According to him, imagining another man enjoying the things he currently has with his wife reminds him not to take their relationship for granted.

He added, “So I swallow my pride, soften my voice and choose her again.” Emotional marriage message sparks reflection The husband said his biggest fear is meeting the person his wife could eventually fall in love with after their relationship has ended. He concluded with a message centred on appreciating a partner while the relationship still exists, saying, “Because I never want to meet the man my wife fell in love with.”

His reflection highlights how the fear of losing someone can sometimes make people appreciate the everyday moments and qualities they may otherwise overlook in marriage.
