Have you noticed how many so-called “yahoo boys” seem to speak the same language? The same recycled slangs, ( gotta make mama proud etc) the same careless bravado, the same empty pride.
But beyond the words is something much deeper a mindset that normalises fraud and celebrates it as hustle.
Let me be clear: nothing justifies scamming another human being to survive. The people being defrauded are not just “clients” or “foreigners.” They are fathers, mothers, retirees, young professionals real people with real lives and responsibilities. Some lose their life savings. Some fall into depression. Some may even contemplate ending their lives.
And many will spend years praying and crying over what was taken from them.
No amount of designer clothes, flashy cars or weekend enjoyment can erase the weight of that.
When a woman knowingly dates a fraudster and enjoys ill-gotten wealth, she becomes part of that cycle. You cannot separate yourself from the source of what you are benefiting from. What is built on deception rarely stands the test of time.
If you observe closely, many of those living loudly today often struggle quietly tomorrow. Wealth gotten wrongly has a way of slipping through the fingers just as quickly as it came.
Integrity may look slow. It may look less glamorous. But it builds peace, dignity, and a name that can stand anywhere in the world without fear.
Let us stop normalising fraud. Let us stop glorifying it. There is honour in honest work and that honour lasts far longer than any temporary display of wealth.
hardworking men how was your day joor ?
