NATIONAL COORDINATOR - Reconnect Health Development Initiative (Reconnect-HDI). Location: Abuja, Nigeria. Employment Type: Full-time. Sector: Mental Health / Psychosocial Support / Humanitarian & Development. Reports to: President, Reconnect-HDI. Accountable to: Board of Trustees. About Reconnect-HDI: a Nigerian non-governmental, non-profit organisation established in 2013 with a focus on improving mental health and psychosocial wellbeing and increasing access to psychological support and treatment; works with individuals, communities, government institutions, development partners and other stakeholders; work has included subsidised mental health treatment and rehabilitation, psychosocial support, support groups, gender-based violence interventions, training and capacity strengthening, advocacy and networking, and programmes addressing the psychological consequences of neglected tropical diseases.
The National Coordinator will have four major priorities: 1. Fundraising & Resource Mobilisation - proactively identify Nigerian and international funding opportunities and personally lead the development of high-quality concept notes, EOIs, grant applications and funding proposals; 2. Programme Development & Delivery - develop innovative, evidence-based and fundable programmes and remain directly involved in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation; 3.
Partnerships & Organisational Growth - build strategic relationships with government, donors, NGOs, universities, health institutions, corporate organisations; 4. Leadership - provide effective day-to-day leadership while remaining an active team member. Candidates should ideally have: Bachelor's degree in Public Health, International Development, Social Sciences, International Relations, Public Administration, Project Management, Health Sciences or another relevant discipline (Master's an advantage); approximately 5-7 years or more of relevant professional experience; demonstrable experience in fundraising, proposal writing, grant applications and resource mobilisation; experience developing project concepts, budgets, workplans and donor reports; experience working with donors, government institutions, NGOs, development agencies or corporate partners; experience managing donor-funded projects.
