Whoever devotes their love to something other than Allaah - without loving it for the sake of Allaah or because it is an aid in the obedience of Allaah - will be tormented through it in this life before the meeting with Allaah in the Hereafter. It has been said: "You are the victim of anything you love, so choose for yourself, from your desire, whoever you want."
