In the past, when we used to have only Java and Symbian phones as internet-accessible devices, the designs were crazy and thrilling - one beautiful design after another, and when BlackBerry came the designs were also very thrilling. But in this age of smartphones, phone designs are not really impressive; it is as if the companies are not doing much - one brand comes out with a design, others copy it, and suddenly all the phones start looking alike.
A phone that particularly thrilled me was the Infinix S5 Pro, where the front camera would pop up whenever you wanted to use it like a snail out of its shell. Other designs that impressed me: in-screen fingerprint sensors and in-screen front cameras. These days I think Samsung is still trying to outshine competitors with sleek, minimalistic S-series designs, and iPhone is trying too - though honestly neither matches the Java/Symbian era.
And I'm not saying this for Samsung because I'm a fan - I've never used a Samsung device. What other phone brands do you think are doing well with body design?
