Mavin Records founder Don Jazzy has revealed five Nigerian artistes he wishes he had signed, including Simi, Teni, Davido, Wizkid and Falz. Don Jazzy said he liked Simi and Teni and wished he had signed both singers. He also recalled having the opportunity to sign Davido but decided against it because he believed Davido would find his own way. He added that he was interested in signing Wizkid, but Banky W got to him first.
Don Jazzy also disclosed that he and Falz almost had a deal, although the agreement did not eventually happen. The music executive has previously said developing a new artiste could require around N50 million to N100 million in a year, covering expenses such as production, promotion, videos and marketing.
