The US based Nigerian sex worker, Ms. Jorji, who accused Poco Lee, has made a series of explosive claims about the circumstances surrounding the release of Nigerian dancer Poco Lee following allegations of attempted rape. In a video shared on social media, Jorji claimed that contrary to reports suggesting Burna Boy's influence secured Poco Lee's release from custody, the Grammy-winning singer personally contacted her and allegedly pleaded with her to drop the case, allegedly offering $200,000 in exchange for her withdrawing the case: 'I want to make this clear: it was not Burna Boy's influence that secured Poco Lee's release from custody.
Burna Boy reached out to me personally. He pleaded with me and offered $200,000 for me to drop the case before I agreed.' Jorji also alleged that she deliberately delayed Poco Lee's release because she wanted him to understand the seriousness of the situation: 'I have taught Poco Lee a lesson. He will not bite the hand that fed him again. This should prove to him that women hold at least 95% of the power in this world.'
Recalling an alleged conversation, she claimed the dancer had boasted about having connections in Nigeria; she responded: 'This is the United Kingdom. You can't compromise the law here. I decided how long he remained in custody.' Jorji also alleged Poco Lee could not afford the purported payment and that Burna Boy covered it on his behalf: 'Poco is broke. Burna paid on his behalf.'
According to Jorji, her initial intention was for Poco Lee to spend five years in prison, but she ultimately agreed to drop the matter. Neither Burna Boy nor Poco Lee had, at the time of this report, publicly confirmed the allegations.
