Angelina Jolie says the world has reached an “absolute breaking point” amid conflicts and uncertainty, but she remains hopeful about ordinary people.
(iexclusivenews)—Angelina Jolie has warned that the world may be at an “absolute breaking point” as conflicts, division, and uncertainty continue to unsettle societies.
The actor and filmmaker shared the view while discussing her new war drama, "Without Blood," which explores trauma, violence, memory, and healing.
Jolie said many people feel unprotected and increasingly uncertain about the foundations of society.
Despite the turmoil, she said she continues to have faith in ordinary people who value decency, freedom, family, and peaceful lives.
Jolie's comments came during interviews promoting "Without Blood," her adaptation of Alessandro Baricco's novella.
She said she believes the current global situation could represent a breaking point before conditions eventually improve.
Her remarks come as wars and political conflicts continue to shape public debate across different parts of the world.
Rather than focusing only on political leaders, Jolie said her hope rests with ordinary people and their desire for basic freedoms and stability.
"Without Blood" explores war and trauma
"Without Blood" follows two people brought together years after a violent conflict.
The film stars Salma Hayek Pinault and Demián Bichir, with Jolie serving as writer, director, and producer.
The story examines the lasting effects of violence and the difficult relationship between trauma, memory, guilt, and healing.
Angelina Jolie said the project was also connected to a difficult period in her own life.
According to PEOPLE, she began adapting Baricco's 2002 novella during what she described as a difficult time and initially viewed the screenplay as part of her own private healing.
Jolie's continued focus on war's aftermath
The film continues a theme that has appeared throughout Jolie's directing career, particularly her interest in the human consequences of conflict. https://iexclusivenews.com.ng/angelina-jolie-global-breaking-point/
