King Charles III recently highlighted Afrobeats and Nollywood while speaking about Nigeria’s influence in Britain during President Tinubu’s state visit to the UK.
He specifically referenced Afrobeats filling British concert halls and Nollywood captivating British screens, alongside the wider contributions of Nigerians living in the UK. (State House Abuja)

Afrobeats started from a Nigerian and wider West African cultural space, while Nollywood developed into a major part of African storytelling. Today, both are being experienced by audiences far beyond Nigeria.
