Osimhen Out, Arokodare Not 100% Fit! Who Should Lead The Super Eagles Attack?
The Super Eagles have started preparations for their 2027 AFCON qualifiers, but Eric Chelle has a big headache before Friday's game against Madagascar.
Victor Osimhen is ruled out with injury and has been replaced in the squad by Taiwo Awoniyi.
Then comes another concern.
Tolu Arokodare, who has been in good form for Ajax, has admitted that he is still not fully fit after recently recovering from illness. He scored against Excelsior but struggled physically during the game.
So who should Chelle trust up front?
Awoniyi? Akor Adams? Arokodare? Or should Nigeria change the way they attack completely?
With Osimhen unavailable, this could be a major opportunity for another striker to step up and make a name for himself.
The Super Eagles have Madagascar on Friday in Uyo before travelling to Guinea-Bissau for another qualifier four days later.
Nigerians, let's settle this:
Who should start as Nigeria's No. 9?
Taiwo Awoniyi Tolu Arokodare Akor Adams Someone else
And most importantly...
Can the Super Eagles win these two matches without Osimhen?
