Asagba Of Asaba Calls For Igbo Unity At Ohaneze Ndigbo Delta State (video)

The Asagba of Asaba, speaking at Ohaneze Ndigbo Public Enlightenment in Delta State, has called for the unity of Ndigbo.

Speaking in Igbo throughout his address, he went on to raise some points which includes:

1. The every other Igbo subgroup association should be dissolved to allow Ohaneze Ndigbo become the sole voice of the entire Igbo race.
2. He advocated that only Igbo should be spoken during Ohaneze meetings instead of English; asking the audience if there was anyone who couldn’t understand his Asaba dialect to which everyone agreed they could understand.
3. Lastly, he advocated for financial independence for Ohaneze so that it would stop being controlled by governors who currently finance and, as a consequence, control it.
