“Speak out early before your sickness gets worse” – Veteran Peter Fatomilola tells colleagues as he reacts to the death of Taiwo Hassan (Video)

Nollywood actor Peter Fatomilola has appealed to his colleagues as he speaks on the death of late Taiwo Hassan. In an interview with African A-List, he described Taiwo Hassan as his child in the industry and a good man. He expressed pity at how many didn’t know about his health issues until his death came out, so they could ask for help. Peter Fatomilola said that even if he were unable to help him, he would have sought help from those wiser than him.

In a message to his colleagues, he told them to speak out before their sickness gets worse and ask for help. “Taiwo Hassan Ogogo was my child in the industry, a very good man. It’s a pity I didn’t hear anything about his health until his daughter came out to ask for help. If I had known, and couldn’t even help, I would have sought help from people wiser than me for him. People need to come out early before sickness gets worse cos you’ll never know who can help”.

His daughter shared the sad news in a live video. He was buried amidst tears on Monday, August 24th, with many of his industry colleagues in attendance. A week before his death, his daughter, Kira, in an emotional video, revealed that the actor was battling stage 4 cancer and has been denied chemotherapy by the hospital. She appealed to the public to recommend anyone who knows where they can treat him medically or traditionally, while making it clear that she wasn’t trying to raise funds for him.

Another of his daughters, Lima, shared more about his condition, saying hospitals are refusing to treat him. She emphasised that, like her sister, they weren’t asking for money but for a medical expert to treat him. In an emotional appeal to the public, she said she doesn’t want her father to die. Following his daughters’ cry for help, Senator Yayi had personally reached out to top cancer specialists to help Ogogo.

The veteran was admitted to the operating theatre for treatment. In an interview on Oyinmomo TV, Taiwo opened up about his seven-year battle with a strange illness. He revealed that he couldn’t eat anything except pap and recalled how he went from place to place and received different treatments.
