Nigerian skit maker and content creator Debo Adebayo, better known as Mr Macaroni, has spoken about his generosity. In a lengthy social media post, he said he has been emotional reading messages from people whom he has helped. Macaroni said he has always believed God blessed him to give to others. He said he has been thinking a lot about what he lost instead of thanking God for seeing him through one of the hardest moments of his life.
Macaroni said he is used to always giving and hardly ever receiving because everyone thinks he has it in abundance. The skit maker shared how God used one person to settle all that he owed, over and over again. He appreciated the unnamed person for giving him hope when he thought it was all over. In an appreciation post, Mr Macaroni thanked Don Jazzy for helping him since his University days, and also appreciated footballer Victor Osimhen and Pastor Bolaji.
“I cried so much last night and this morning. I have seen lots of messages from different people about things I did for them at different times, most of which I don’t even remember. The truth is, I have always believed in my heart that the only reason God gave me is to give it back. I think this is God’s way of telling me to also be thankful!!! I have been thinking too much about what I lost instead of thanking God for seeing me through one of the hardest moments of my life.
I am used to always giving and hardly ever receiving because everyone thought I had it in abundance. I have also always found it difficult to ask for help. Even if I had to borrow from anyone, I would always return it with interest, even without them asking. But these past few years tested me in ways I couldn’t understand. I asked for help everywhere I could think of, and I was on the verge of giving it all up!
I would mention his name, but he would be really upset. God used one person to settle all that I owed! And this help came over and over again! I don’t think any sane person would do what he did for me without God’s intervention! So this is me also saying thank you, Brother! And I will continue to do so again and again, privately and publicly! Thank you for giving me hope when I thought it was all over.

Hours ago, veteran Peter Fatomilola, in an interview with African A-List, recounted meeting Macaroni after a movie shoot in Ibadan, Oyo State, and offered him N200,000 for fuel.
The veteran further disclosed that Macaroni called him for another job with Pete Edochie and gave him a million naira for just a scene. Mr Macaroni’s sweet gesture isn’t surprising, as many have spoken highly of him. Attesting to his character, Biola Bayo said she had benefited from his generosity, and that generosity is part of Macaroni. She said she adores and admires him, and that he will always have a special place in her heart.
When she missed his birthday in 2024, she penned an apology note to him, stating that she felt like beating herself for not attending his birthday. She questioned what’s not to love about him, noting how he is beautiful in heart, spirit, and body. Adeniyi Johnson also praised Macaroni in 2023 after he credited his account following the birth of his twins. Also, Halima Abubakar expressed gratitude to Macaroni for being indebted to her.
She appreciated him as she noted how many she had helped in the past had forgotten about her, but that wasn’t his case. Praying for him, she expressed pride in how he used the opportunity well and made a name for himself. In 2023, Macaroni disclosed that one of the reasons why he gives to people is because he was once like them, jumping from one celebrity DM to another, begging for help.
The comedian also recounted how God picked his call after he got expelled from four universities and suffered depression. Mr Macaroni disclosed that he started creating content and posting online in late 2019 when depression almost killed him, but luckily for him, God picked his call the same year.
