“Wanting marriage doesn’t mean one has no purpose” – Actress Juliana Olayode tells marriage critics as she vows to marry the love of her life

Amid the high rate of divorce, Nollywood actress Juliana Olayode has expressed desire to marry the love of her life. In a lengthy social media post, she said she will marry the love of her life regardless of the divorce rate and the stories she hears. She noted that despite how difficult marriage can be, some believe marriage is beautiful and want to experience it. The Toyo Baby Star admonished those who are against it not to influence others.

According to her, wanting a husband doesn’t mean one has no purpose or has lost themselves. “I’M GOING TO MARRY THE LOVE OF MY LIFE. Randomly seeing this (BRIDE) swimsuit my friend gifted me in 2024 on a day like this, after giving my unsolicited opinion about some women shaming another woman for wanting to get married at a salon, made me laugh so hard. 😂 I wasn’t even looking for it!

God really does have a sense of humour. 😂 But honestly, regardless of the rate of divorce, the stories we hear, or how difficult marriage can sometimes be, some people believe marriage is beautiful and want to experience it. And that should be okay. You don’t have to want marriage. You don’t have to make it a priority. You can even decide it’s not for you. But please, let those who desire it desire it in peace. 😂 Wanting to be married doesn’t mean you have no purpose.

Wanting a husband doesn’t mean you have lost yourself. Being excited about becoming a wife doesn’t make you less ambitious or stupíd. Some of us want God, purpose, career, impact, money, friendship, family, a beautiful marriage and everything good in life.🥹 So, may everyone who desires marriage find a good man, a good woman, and a marriage that is worth the desire. Up Love! Up Marriage!”.

Damilola Adegbite had admonished those in good relationships to speak out, as she advocates normalising speaking about relationships that bring peace, growth, and purpose. She said she still believes that long-lasting relationships exist and that love is real. Legendary actor Emeka Ike said love and marriage are not scams, revealing that the real problems lie with people who enter into them purely for selfish and financial gain.

Emeka urged women not to let social media shape their expectations of relationships, stressing that every marriage is different. Opeyemi Aiyeola shared some relationship tips with her fans who are still looking for love. According to the mother of two, genuine love still exists out there but one has to be patient enough to be blessed with one.
