Nigeria Independence Day Green Party 2025
Nigeria’s Independence Day Party at X1 SJ Boutique October 1st, 2025 has arrived, and with it comes another chance to celebrate Nigeria’s Independence in grand style. Since 1960, when Nigeria gained her freedom from British colonial rule, this day has stood as a symbol of resilience, pride, and unity. To honor this milestone, Sade Johnson—widely known as Liberated Girl_SJ and the creative force behind X1 SJ Boutique—is hosting a spectacular Independence Day celebration right at her boutique.
The evening promises an unforgettable experience. Guests will enjoy live performances from some of Nigeria’s finest musicians, each performing only their original works. With no DJs in sight, the atmosphere will be filled with authentic, unfiltered Nigerian music. As a special gift, attendees will also receive a custom-made OLOKO Designs T-shirt.
Each 100% cotton shirt, proudly made in Nigeria, will feature bold African-inspired patterns—unique designs created exclusively for this event.
No Nigerian celebration is complete without food, and Ms. Johnson is taking charge of the menu herself. On offer will be an abundant spread: jollof rice, fried rice, coconut rice, tigernut rice, and corn rice, alongside traditional staples like eba and amala.
The feast will be rounded out with a variety of soups, including banga, edikaikong, egusi, and ewedu, plus an assortment of fresh vegetables.
In line with her healthy lifestyle, Ms. Johnson has chosen to forgo alcohol and soft drinks. Instead, guests will be refreshed with freshly squeezed juices—orange, lemon, lime, guava, pawpaw, pineapple, and of course, natural coconut water.
The celebration takes place on October 1st, 2025, with only 100 exclusive spots available. Though I’m a loyal patron of X1 SJ Boutique, I won’t be attending this year.
After the daily grind of life in Nigeria, I’ll be choosing rest and sleep over the party atmosphere. As anything Sade Johnson it promises to be a night to remember i have talked her into packaging the food and selling the food to me.
