“I was naive and wrong to judge you” – Nkechi Blessing shares message she received from a man over her fight with Phyna

Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has shared a message she received from a man over her fight with Phyna. The man said his wife insisted that they stay up late to watch her Chaos in the Ring. He said Nkechi stepping into the ring takes a level of bravery and heart that very few people possess. According to the man, seeing her made him realise how naive and wrong he was to judge her without knowing the depth of her strength.

He said she showed the spirit of a true warrior and she earned his ultimate respect. Sharing the message, Nkechi noted how she had presented herself in a bad state in the eyes of the public, but behind it all was a woman who would do anything to survive. “Out of the thousands of messages in my DM, this one stood out for me. You might ask why? For years, I have presented myself in a very bad state in the eyes of the public, for which I take full responsibility.

So many dislike me for my acts, misconduct: drama and constant notoriety. But behind the online shenanigans is a woman who will do anything to survive in the kind of country she finds herself in, a woman who stands for herself and refuses to be bullied into silence. I am still not seeking validation; I’m not asking everyone to like me. I am simply saying that if you get to know me outside this social space, on my mother’s grave, your perception about me will change at first meeting, but sadly not everyone will get to experience me, and that is very okay!!!!

Still the Misunderstood Sweetheart Nkechi Blessing Sunday!!!!”. Kemi Filani reported on Thursday, October 1st, that Nkechi and Phyna held their highly anticipated boxing match at Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos. After hours of exchanging blows, Phyna defeated Nkechi and won a brand-new car and N50 million. Speaking out after the fight, she said she was still a champion regardless of the result.

Nkechi added that even blind people know the winner. In a message to her mother, she noted that she had never raised her hands to fight anyone, but stood on an unfamiliar stage with courage and fought like a warrior. Nkechi thanked her mother for raising a Queen, a fighter, and an unstoppable child of grace. She described the fight as a great experience, one she would repeat. Ahead of her cinema debut, Nkechi recalled being insulted by a blogger who questioned how many cinema movies she had done.

She said she had been through a lot in the industry, yet God still comes through for her because she refuses to give up. NBS shared a throwback photo of herself, saying all she sees is growth. She said she is still a work in progress, as she is not yet where she wants to be. While reflecting on her growth, she credited her colleague, Mercy Aigbe, for making her a superstar. Nkechi noted that a film she did with the AMVCA actress made her a superstar, and she appreciated Aigbe for seeing the star in her and allowing her to shine.

Last year, she shed tears as she signed a life-changing deal. She credited her huge success to God, noting that delay wasn’t denial. NBS revealed that she was supposed to sign the deal in February, but the devil did his thing as usual. In another post, had credited God for being behind her success. She declared that she is nothing without God as she made the biggest decision of her life.

Sometimes back, the light-skinned actress broke down in tears on social media over a lady’s ploys to tarnish her brand. Nkechi noted that she is human and blood runs through her veins. She stated that she doesn’t have any means of livelihood and wasn’t the type to sleep with men to earn a living.
