Aminat Omowunmi Yekini, the wife of Nollywood actor Itele, has explained why she deleted her video attacking his colleague, Irewole Olaniyan. In the wake of the actress’s scandal, Itele’s wife, in a social media post, shared a video of her shading Irewole. She slammed those defending her and encouraging her behaviour because it’s their favourite. Calling out their hypocrisy, she noted how they always change the rules when it is a different person.
“Before, we all agreed that side chicks were a big deal, but now some of you are out here defending and encouraging them simply because it’s your fave this time. The hypocrisy is actually screaming. Ori gbogbo yin ti daru. Same situation, different person, and suddenly the rules have changed”. Her statement didn’t sit well with many who dragged her. Kemi Filani noticed that the mother of two girls had deleted the video.
Speaking out, Aminat said she didn’t delete it because of them, but because of her husband. According to her, she deleted it because Itele called and urged her to do so. Doubling down on her statement against Irewole, she said her haters and trolls can’t even reach her. “I didn’t delete my previous post because of anybody. Una no even reach. She claimed she had previously approached the actress privately to discuss the matter, but she denied knowing he was married. Mary said the relationship continued, and her husband supported Irewole’s movie productions, trips, expensive bags, and lifestyle. She called Irewole a home wrecker and a torment in her home, crying for her to leave her husband. Speaking out, Irewole admitted she had something with him but ended things when she found out he was married.
She said they had only a few dates, and claimed the man hasn’t stopped reaching out to her and slammed his wife for threatening her and trying to tarnish her public image. Responding to her statement, Mary poked fun at the movie star for trying to save her image by debunking it.
