The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed that its aircraft crashed in the Igbokoda area of Ondo State on Monday. NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Ehimen Ejodame, explained that the aircraft was on a “routine mission” when the incident occurred. In a statement made available to TheCable, Ejodame said a rescue operation was underway following the crash.
Many passengers in the aircraft are feared dead.
However, no official report on the actual number of casualties has been released. The Federal Government has confirmed that a total of 32 people were on board the military aircraft that crashed in Igbokoda, Ondo State, on Monday.
