An old video of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels struggling to walk has surfaced online. Kemi Filani reported in May that the movie star celebrated International Children’s Day on Wednesday, May 27th, with a huge carnival in Asaba. The likes of TikToker Jarvis, Mercy Johnson and her kids, Late Junior Pope’s wife, and more were present. Now, following her latest statement about her inability to walk, old videos from the event have resurfaced online.
In one clip, Daniels was seen struggling to walk as bodyguards held her tightly. In another, she was seen talking with TikToker Jarvis, who questioned what was wrong with her leg. One Action Faith commenting on it wrote, “Signs were there; we didn’t notice One Abynabel wrote, She was in pain, and we didn’t even notice. No wonder she wasn’t at the wedding One jennysecret_glow wrote, “People we dey judge her how far?
One tobyandmore wrote, “Social media will deceive you”. The resurfaced video comes hours after the movie star shocked many when she marked her 25th birthday with a video of her in a wheelchair. The actress, who had been absent from the media space for a while, disclosed she had lost the courage to move around because of a minor pain that escalated to a severe one. In September, Regina was captured in a live video hanging out with her kids and her stepson at Ned’s house.
When the movie star realised that her stepson was on Live with her, she abruptly ended it. On her children’s birthday in June, the mother of two has celebrated it with underprivileged children. She took to the streets and handed gifts to the underprivileged children. Recall that in October, last year, Regina ended things with him citing domestic violence as her reason for leaving her marriage.
Ned, in a public statement, had attributed the tension to what he described as her “battle with drugs and alcohol abuse.” According to Nwoko, his efforts to help his wife seek professional treatment are always resisted. Daniels called out Ned for constantly publicising her children to garner negative attention from their father. She pointed out the irony that someone of his status could be posting his kids at this time, knowing fully well it would attract media scrutiny.
He responded saying that sharing photos and videos of the children had always been a normal part of family life. Nwoko stated that her absence from the children’s lives was a personal choice, not something imposed on her.
