“Let’s be cautious of our utterances and guide the crafts that pave the way for us” – Toyosi Adesanya sends message to theatre practitioners

Nollywood actress Toyosi Adesanya has sent a message to Theatre Practitioners. Addressing them on a social media page, she urged them to be cautious with their utterances as professionals. Commending their efforts, she noted that the social media era has caused much damage and, as such, one should guide the crafts that pave the way and bring good to their folds. Toyosi expressed pride in being a Theatre Practitioner, noting that they are creators of wisdom.

“If we are cautious of our utterances – if we are professionals that most of us think we are. The rudiments we have as theatre practitioners, whether formal or informal, whether academic or total theatre, I commend all practitioners in the entertainment world at large. It takes me back to many years of encouraging ourselves that our crafts will pave the way for us, no matter the odds.

Given what this social media era has caused, let’s keep guiding the crafts that pave the way and bring good to our folds. I am proud to be a theatre practitioner because we create wisdom. What of you?”. In an interview, Bimbo Success cried out over how rich actresses in Nollywood, who lack training are ruining the industry. She stated that insufficient training is to be blamed for actors’ lack of flexibility in the industry as she noted how some actresses believe that having money is all they need to produce a successful film.

Kanayo Kanayo had blown hot over the state of things in the industry. He stated that Nollywood shouldn’t be a ground for BBL, sex workers, Instagram stars, and homosexuality. The veteran further called out social media influencers, who are now taking over Nollywood, for being the biggest cause of disrespect in the industry. Not done lamenting the industry, Kanayo, in another interview, slammed Nigerian ladies who are desperate to enter Nollywood without skills. He told them they should sell crayfish if acting isn’t in them.
