If You Can't Afford Netflix, Is It Really Wrong To Download The Movie For Free?
01
Let's be honest.
You see a movie you really want to watch.
The legitimate streaming platform requires a subscription.
Then you find a website offering the same movie for free.
No subscription. No payment. Just download and watch.
Some people will say it's piracy and that's the end of the argument.
Others will say:
"If I can't afford the subscription, who exactly am I hurting by downloading it?"
Then there is another argument:
"The website is the one distributing the movie illegally. I'm just watching it."
So where do you stand?
Is downloading or watching copyrighted content from an unauthorised source acceptable if someone genuinely cannot afford the legitimate option?
Or does the lack of money or convenience not change the copyright issue?
Let's hear honest opinions.
