Our Educational System has now been reduced to a laughing stock, at this point, we need to revitalize our Educational Glory in Nigeria, we should not allow the instrumentalized Socio-Economic circumstances to derail our dedicated quest to build a Great Nation with a good standard of living. On a serious note, Teachers, Researchers, and Academic Experts need to be highly paid like every other professionals (e.g., musicians, footballers, Movie Actors, and even politicians), and we will surely save ourselves from such attached national embarrassment.
With the current reward systems that was structured for the Nigerian educators, we might not have any graduate to take up such subsequent academic roles if we don't act fast to fix this serious issue. Some of these Scholars should be remunerated with wages, or even daily or hourly rewards in order to help them think better on how to practically create societal values. To be factual, interview an average Teacher to know how he or she feels about his or her job, some are not doing it happily, but managing it for sustenance.
Practically, via a questionnaire or interview; ask if any Gen-Z student will like to be a Teacher in the future? Get their responses, and ask them why?
In due season, Nigeria shall be great again, and our educational glory shall be fully restored. Make some inquiries, most of the advanced countries of today placed so much values on educational ventures, briefly, with Educational Advancement, the small Japan was able to colonize the Big China, and that's why you see, after the Chinese independence, China heavily invested in Research and Educational development, hence, today, conquering many nations with its arms of Tech and even etc.
