Socialite Cubana Chief Priest is reaffirming his love for President Tinubu ahead of 2027 election. In a video shared online, he defended his decision to support the president, saying critics will only strengthen his loyalty to Tinubu. Cubana Chief Priest said nobody was better than him and reemphasised that the more he and Tinubu’s supporters are being bullied, the more dedicated they are to him.
To buttress his point further, he compared his love for the president to choosing between football clubs Real Madrid and Charlton FC. He noted how no one can leave Real Madrid to choose Charlton FC. Cubana ended his statement by crediting the president with transforming Lagos, calling it the most active city in Africa. “The more they bully us for supporting Tinubu, the more dedicated we are to loving him more.

Chief Priest revealed that he left Peter Obi because he didn’t want to keep losing, as the former Governor isn’t ready, and he doesn’t see him winning the next election. Chief Priest, who used to be a die-hard fan and supporter of Peter Obi, surprised many when he switched teams to President Tinubu. He was appointed as Imo State director of City Boy Movement, CBM, the youth-focused support group for Tinubu’s re-election.
In February, Chief Priest had shared a video of the buses Igbo businessmen donated to support Tinubu’s re-election. Chief Priest stated that their minds are made up and their goal was to deliver Tinubu and make him a favourite among South Easterners. Reacting to the criticisms, Davido’s best friend said that if supporting Tinubu is betrayal for an Igbo man, then what is a Yoruba man supporting Peter Obi?
He noted that Tinubu is 20 steps ahead and admonished people to follow those who know the road. In his comment section, an Igbo youth expressed betrayal over their support. Chief Priest responded, questioning whether it was his money they used in buying the buses. He made him know that they’re just starting. He made him know that they’re just starting. Last year, following the life sentencing of Nnamdi Kanu, Chief Priest had written a letter to Tinubu informing him that he would never receive 10,000 votes from the South East in 2027 if Nnamdi remained in jail. He told him to either appeal this judgment and get it right or be ready to check out of the Villa in 2027. Making a u-turn, he said that all hope was not lost, as his votes are secured.
He told the president to listen to the delegation coming to meet him and let Nnamdi come home and fix the Southeast. During the heat of the Benue Killings, Chief Priest had called on Tinubu to put an end to open grazing. He passionately appealed to the President to immediately outlaw open grazing across the country, noting the brutal level of damage it caused. In May, 2025, Chief Priest had met President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Sharing a video of the moment he met the President, he stated that people can never break them and revealed that his desire for the president is more than he can explain. Reacting to the backlash he received for kneeling to greet the President, CP, as he is fondly known as noted how his haters are envious of him. He added that he understands the game better now, as he noted how those who keep showing fake love end up losing.
