Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola has vouched for her colleague, Toyin Abraham, after her leaked audio surfaced. Kemi Filani reported that a 12-minute leaked audio recording of Abraham, lashing out over the daily insults and criticisms she was constantly receiving and addressing her relationships with colleagues, had surfaced online. The audio recording, primarily in Yoruba and pidgin, also showed Abraham’s fan repeatedly hurling insults at Funke Akindele, while Abraham listened and laughed rather than reprimanding her.
In a post on her social media page, she said Toyin can say nothing behind someone’s back that she can’t say to the person’s face. She said Toyin is a wonderful spirit and recounted how excited her daughter was when she told her she was with Toyin. “Oluwatoyin. Is there anything that she can say behind your back and she won’t say in front of you? I doubt that, sha. But one thing I will say about her is the wonderful spirit she has, even with these Gen Z.
The last time I called my daughter, she didn’t pick up. I told her I was with Toyin; she called back sharp sharp. I don’t know how you do it, but you have a wonderful spirit, and I bless God for your life”. Addressing critics over her post, she said she has accepted the Alabosi title they gave her without pleasure. Foluke questioned why there is so much hate, noting how bitterness has persisted for so long.

She questioned if her crime is supporting someone with her full chest. Calling their behaviour a high level of stupidīty, she said they need special evaluation. Not done, she made a video online explaining the situation, claiming she wasn’t aware of Toyin’s leaked audio when she left a comment on Regina’s page. She revealed that Toyin’s fans always attack her whenever she comments on Funke’s posts.
In 2023, while sharing photos generated from the AI web, Foluke disclosed that she would embark on a six-week weight-loss journey. She invited her followers to support her decision by joining her. The popular actress, while reminiscing about her younger days with friends, shared a throwback photo from when she was young. The photos sparked a lot of discussion in the comments section, as fans appreciated her growth over the years.
They also noted a vast difference between the old picture and the recent one. In other news, Foluke sent a message to those in need, urging them to speak out. She noted that many don’t speak up for fear of being shamed. Over the years, Foluke has become a mouthpiece for ailing veterans, and her colleagues. She had written an open letter to President Tinubu and the Governor of Lagos State, on the poor state of Nollywood actors.
She noted how many veteran actors suffer, especially health-wise, and have no help. Foluke urged the president to offer a better arrangement for the veterans and to set up a trust fund for them.
