OK Movement has no business setting up campaign council - NDC chairman, Seriake Dickson

The National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Seriake Dickson, has described the decision by the Obidient-Kwankwaso (OK) Movement to establish a 59-member presidential campaign council as nonsensical, insisting that support groups should not compete with the political party backing their candidates. Dickson stated this in Abuja on Tuesday, September 22.

Last week, the OK Movement unveiled a 59-member council, a decision the NDC has kicked against.

The OK Movement, however, said it does not require the approval of any individual in the party to carry out its organisational activities. Reacting to this development, Dickson said support groups were established to mobilise grassroots support for candidates, not to create structures that rival the party.

They dont attack the political party sponsored. He added that the practice was not limited to the NDC, noting that other political parties also have support groups.

None of them will dare say they are setting up a presidential campaign council. It is unheard of. Nonsensical. And those who had a duty to educate and call people to order should do so.he said View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lindaikejiblog (@lindaikejiblogofficial) The post OK Movement has no business setting up campaign council - NDC chairman, Seriake Dickson appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), she compared the electricity units she received in May with what she got in September, expressing frustration over the sharp difference.

The development has also renewed conversations about the cost of living and the financial pressure facing many Nigerians. Watch the video below… “Nigerians don’t really know what’s happening in this country. I used to buy ₦50,000 worth of electricity around May and get 958.5 units.

Now on this September, the same ₦50,000 is giving me just 222 units. This is over a 400% increase. President Tinubu, what is happening?… pic.twitter.com/XukaWGAwUk — CHUKS 🍥 (@ChuksEricE) September 23, 2026
