“I am the Senate President, and I am not the acting President of Nigeria, because President Tinubu is still in power. He is on a working leave, and there is no absence in Aso Rock. The world is a global village, and one can give instructions over the internet. So, why are people complaining?” he retorted.

Akpabio emphasized that only his office can declare a presidential vacancy and that no such condition currently exists. “Right now, there is no vacancy. Asiwaju Tinubu is still in power, and he is still running the affairs of Nigeria,” he added.

When asked about his contract situation ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Brighton on Saturday, Arteta said: “I think we are all very much aligned; whenever the time is right, we’ll get that done. There is nothing to be concerned about.

“I think we both have the same ambition and the same will. So whenever we have time, we’ll get that resolved.”

Arteta has transformed Arsenal’s fortunes during his tenure and guided the club to their first Premier League title in 22 years last season following three straight second-place finishes.

Kwankwaso, who previously served as governor of Kano State, also criticised President Bola Tinubu’s decision to end the petrol subsidy at the beginning of his administration.

He argued that the policy had contributed to the economic difficulties currently facing Nigerians, describing the country’s economic situation as a “total mess.”

According to him, the government could support consumers and lower petrol prices through several measures rather than simply returning to the old subsidy arrangement.

He pointed to increased domestic refining as one of the measures the NDC would pursue, arguing that the government should also establish refineries instead of leaving the responsibility entirely to private investors.

“ Now we have a refinery built by a businessman and I am sure more will be built,” Kwankwaso said.

He added that the ability of private individuals to establish refineries demonstrated that the government could also invest in the sector.

“ If individuals in this country can build refinery, I see no reason why the government will not build refineries,” he said.

Kwankwaso maintained that an NDC administration would implement policies aimed at bringing down the cost of petroleum products.

“ We in the NDC will do all it takes to put the price of oil down, ” he added.

Platform to stream around the clock According to the White House, TRUMP TV will operate continuously, allowing viewers to follow major developments from the administration in one place. The platform will be updated in real time as new events and official remarks take place, while previously released videos will also remain available for viewers.

The service can be accessed through the White House’s digital platforms and YouTube.

Launch comes amid media dispute The launch comes as the Trump administration remains embroiled in a dispute with several major US media organisations over access to White House coverage. Trump had previously restricted CNN, MS NOW and Politico from accessing the White House, accusing the organisations of publishing what he described as false reports.

The media organisations later filed a federal lawsuit challenging the restrictions.

The dispute also affected the traditional television pool used to cover presidential events after CNN was prevented from carrying out a scheduled pool assignment, prompting major television networks to suspend their shared coverage arrangement. The new streaming platform gives the White House a direct channel for distributing presidential remarks, administration announcements and other official content to the public without relying solely on traditional media outlets.
