A Chinese Farmer And His Horse
The Moral Lesson of the Story of the Chinese farmer and the horse you should never forget in your Life... A farmer and his son had a beloved stallion who helped the family earn a living. One day, the horse ran away and their neighbours exclaimed 'Your horse ran away, what terrible luck!'.
The farmer replied 'Maybe so, maybe not. We'll see.' A few days later the horse returned home, leading a few wild mares back to the farm.
'What great luck!' - 'Maybe so, maybe not. We'll see.' Later that week, the farmer's son was trying to break one of the mares and she threw him to the ground, breaking his leg.
'What terrible luck!' - 'Maybe so, maybe not. We'll see.' A few weeks later, soldiers marched through town recruiting able-bodied young men; the farmer's son wasn't conscripted because of his injury. 'What tremendous luck!' - 'Maybe so, maybe not.
We'll see.' Moral: do not judge events as simply 'good' or 'bad,' because what seems to be one can lead to the other. Avoid quick judgments, embrace uncertainty, stay calm and balanced, and focus on the journey rather than momentary good or bad.
