It was a double celebration for legendary singer Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Baba, as he marked his 51st birthday and album launch all in one night. Kemi Filani reported on September 18th that the music icon had turned 51 and had also launched his album, Oldest Young Man. To celebrate the double milestone, he threw a birthday dinner and listening party in Lekki, with some celebrities in attendance.
Spotted at the event were Spryo, Ayo Makun, Wande Coal, Faze, Julius Agwu, African China and others. In a video shared online, 2Baba was seen entering the venue with his mother and four of his kids: the two daughters he shares with Annie and the two sons he shares with Sunmbo Adeoye. In another video, 2Baba was seen cutting his cake with his mother and his kids. Notably absent were his wife of a year, Natasha, their son, and his three kids with Pero Osaiyemi.

A month ago, while performing on the stage, 2baba announced that he had turned over a new leaf. He noted how he was always going out to look for trouble, and had gotten more than he bargained for and now wouldn’t be looking for trouble again. In August, 2baba and Natasha had clashed at an Abuja club after she stormed there demanding to see the singer. An eyewitness claimed that Natasha stormed the club with her entourage after learning that her husband was there, but the singer calmed the situation.
Following the drama, the famous icon, shared photos with the IGP, saying he had a meaningful conversation with him on community policy. While performing at his concert in December, the legendary singer had tendered an apology to the public. He appealed to Nigerians to forgive him and his family, and not to be angry. Last year, social media was agog after videos released online shown the moment, 2baba was arrested on handcuffs after an altercation with Natasha in the UK.
Following the video, a former staff member of 2Baba, identified as Kaka, granted an interview to Freeze, alleging that Natasha frequently hindered the singer’s growth and exerted psychological control over him. Surprisingly, 2baba had joined the Live broadcast to address the situation when he and Natasha got into a heated argument. The singer quickly exited the live stream, fueling more tension between the couple.
Recall that on July 25th 2025, the music icon had traditionally wedded Natasha, in a low-key ceremony attended by close family members, including the singer’s parents. Last year, November, the couple welcomed their first child. The gënder of the newborn is unknown as the couple played on Nigerians.
