Man City Beat Sunderland 5-3 Despite Brobbey Scoring Hat-trick.

Imagine scoring THREE goals in one Premier League match and still going home with zero points. That is exactly what happened to Sunderland's Brian Brobbey against Manchester City on Sunday.

The match was something else. Enzo Fernández scored first for City, Brobbey equalised. Rayan Cherki put City ahead again, Brobbey equalised again. Antoine Semenyo then scored to give City a 3-2 half-time lead.

After the break, Semenyo completed his brace to make it 4-2. But Brobbey was not ready to give up and completed his hat-trick to bring Sunderland back into the game at 4-3.

Unfortunately for Sunderland, Erling Haaland decided to close the matter in the 81st minute, scoring City's fifth goal after a VAR review.

Final score: Manchester City 5-3 Sunderland.

City now have five wins from five Premier League matches and sit three points clear at the top of the table.

But seriously, imagine being Brobbey. You score once, your team concedes. You score again, they concede again. You complete your hat-trick, and the opposition still score five. 😂

Football fans, who deserves the bigger conversation after this match: Antoine Semenyo for scoring twice to help City win, or Brian Brobbey for scoring a hat-trick in a losing effort?

And what does this eight-goal match tell us about Manchester City's defence?
