2027 AFCON Qualifier: Nigeria Vs Madagascar . Who Are You Backing?
Madagascar are coming to Uyo with confidence.
Ahead of Friday's 2027 AFCON qualifier, Madagascar midfielder Rayan Raveloson says the Barea are not intimidated by Nigeria's star-studded Super Eagles.
And honestly, this is the kind of statement that should get Nigerian football fans talking.
Nigeria will be without Victor Osimhen, who is still recovering from a muscle injury. But former Super Eagles midfielder Mutiu Adepoju says Osimhen's absence should not be used as an excuse because Nigeria still has enough quality in the squad.
The Super Eagles have also started training in Uyo, with 23 players taking part in the first session ahead of Friday's game.
So now the question is:
Is Madagascar genuinely confident, or are they simply trying to put pressure on Nigeria before the match?
Nigeria missed the 2026 World Cup. The AFCON qualifiers are therefore another opportunity for the Super Eagles to give fans something to believe in.
But without Osimhen, who should lead the attack?
Awoniyi? Arokodare? Akor Adams? Or should Chelle surprise everyone?
Guys, let's talk.
Can Madagascar really shock Nigeria in Uyo?
