TotalEnergies said gas from Ima, located on OML 112 and 117 near Bonny Island, would ‌be transported by pipeline to Nigeria LNG and provide about one-third of the gas needed for the Train 7 expansion project.

The expansion is expected to raise liquefaction capacity to 30 million metric tons per year from 22 million tons currently. The project marks a further step in its integrated gas strategy in Nigeria by adding low-cost gas resources.
