A Nigerian pastor, Kedi Samuel Kenechukwu, founder of Mercy of God Ministry, is currently on the run after Cameroonian authorities uncovered a mummified body buried beneath a concrete slab at a property linked to his ministry in Yaoundé. Police discovered the body on September 19, 2026, inside a white‑and‑gold coffin buried about 1.5 metres underground at the Nkoabang property.
The remains, believed to be those of a woman, were found dressed in a blue traditional outfit with gold embroidery. Authorities have not yet identified the deceased or determined the cause of death. The discovery came shortly after earlier searches at other ministry‑linked locations, where investigators reportedly found 20 people, including two children, hidden in a basement.
