Parallel market records stronger naira The local currency also performed better in the parallel market. The dollar was quoted at approximately ₦1,375 on Wednesday, compared with ₦1,383 the previous day. The movement translates to an ₦8 appreciation by the naira in the parallel market. Following the latest adjustment, the difference between the NFEM and parallel-market rates stood at approximately ₦47 per dollar.
