Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing is embracing self-love by spoiling herself with flowers. Sharing photos of herself with her flowers and new iPhone, she said she has finally understood that she doesn’t need to wait for someone else to celebrate her. Nkechi said she is the woman who showed up for herself when nobody was watching and turned her pain into power and purpose, rising above setbacks.
According to her, she knows the battles she fought in silence, the years behind the smile, the sacrifices behind the success, and the strength to become the woman she is today. “I bought myself flowers because I finally understand that I don’t need to wait for someone else to celebrate me. I am the woman who showed up for herself when nobody was watching. The woman who turned pain into power, pressure into purpose, and every setback into another reason to rise.

Nkechi’s last public relationship was with Delta-entertainer, Xxssive, who she started dating in 2021 and broke up with in 2025.
Before him, she dated Ekiti State.pokitician, Opeyemi Falegan. After their breakup, Nkechi vowed to keep her next relationship off social media. Addressing trolls who are fond of shaming women for being unmarried and childless, she made them aware that some people are fighting battles behind the scenes and admonished them to take it easy on women. In a social media post, Nkechi, lashed out at women who leave their husbands to end up as side chicks to married men.
Sending thunder to them, she affirmed her loyalty to dating younger boys, while admonishing the public to leave her to her choice. NBS, as she is fondly called while weighing in on Uche Ogbodo’s marital crisis, said one should never think marrying a man they’re clearly feeding will last. According to her, such a marriage wouldn’t end well, no matter how they tried to cover it up.
Her statement didn’t sit well with many who single shamed her. Clapping back at them, she said she would rather be single than be broke, miserable and settle for less. The movie star noted that she is crying in first class to a destination her haters can only dream of and revealed that their favourite stars are in her DM. While preaching about growth, the once-controversial actress said she doesn’t envy married people because most of those she admired are back on the streets.
She admonished people to walk away from those who, places, habits, and situations that no longer align with them. While defending herself after criticizing Baba Ijesha and Luminee’s marriage, Nkechi noted how netizens are always quick to shut people up and bring up her constant failed relationships. She noted how none of her exes was paedophiles. Not done, she said none of her exes had ever left her, as she was the breadwinner in the relationship.
NBS stressed that she is the one who leaves men when she is tired, hence why she can’t feel insulted when people say she changes men like clothes. In an episode of her podcast, the movie star said she has never dated anyone who was more financially stable than she is, and has always taken care of herself. NBS, as she is fondly known, said she has dated down three times, and she wasn’t doing it again.
