Foluke Daramola trades words with critics over outfit as she shows off her new weight loss (Video)

Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola has traded words with critics over her recent outfit. The Yoruba actress shared a video on her social media page showing off her weight loss. What caught many eyes in the video was her outfit choice. One Mojminaj, commending her on her weight loss, said her dress sense needs a better orientation. “Hmmmm, weight loss good. Dress sense needs a better orientation, but otito koro”.

Foluke responded, questioning who asked her, as she took a swipe at the troll’s family. “Who asked you with all your egba nto line. Outfits that you don’t only wear, you still wear them on all your miserable family, plus husband like Gorilla and son like Chimpanzee”. Another critic, calling her a triangle shape, admonished her to wear baggy jeans and do away with leggings and pencil jeans.

“Triangle shape, wear baggy jeans, flare dress or skirt, or boyfriend jeans. Say no to leggings, jeggings or pencil jeans. Thanks”. Foluke replied, “Chief Adviser, thank you. I didn’t know I should wear an abaya to sleep or a sweater in my kitchen while cooking”. In 2023, while sharing photos generated from the AI web, Foluke disclosed that she would embark on a six-week weight-loss journey.

She invited her followers to support her decision by joining her. The popular actress, while reminiscing about her younger days with friends, shared a throwback photo from when she was young. The photos sparked a lot of discussion in the comments section, as fans appreciated her growth over the years. They also noted a vast difference between the old picture and the recent one.

However, one Grateful boldly spoke about her plus size, saying, “But you were never big. Kilo wa sele”. In other news, Foluke sent a message to those in need, urging them to speak out. She noted that many don’t speak up for fear of being shamed. Over the years, Foluke has become a mouthpiece for ailing veterans, and her colleagues. She had written an open letter to President Tinubu and the Governor of Lagos State, on the poor state of Nollywood actors.

She noted how many veteran actors suffer, especially health-wise, and have no help. Foluke urged the president to offer a better arrangement for the veterans and to set up a trust fund for them.
