WHY CONFUSED?
One kingdom, 4 names: - We call: Ezza - From Ezekuna - Hausa calls: Izzan / Masarautar Gishiri - German calls: Eza / Essa - Ghana calls: Ezza-Ekwe - British calls: Ezaa / Oha
Google search "Ezza" only shows British file - It will not show Ghana file because Ghana file says "Ezza-Ekwe" - It will not show Cameroon because German file says "Eza" - It will not show Hausa because Hausa file says "Izzan"
That is how history hidden.
SALT TRADE ROUTE SUMMARY:
One Lake 6°01'52"N Mg 94.2% salt -> 3 directions:
- North: Lake -> Igala -> Benue -> Sokoto - Hausa call Izzan - Exchange horse
- East: Lake -> Cross River -> Cameroon - German call Eza - Exchange gun
- West: Lake -> Niger River -> Ghana - Ghana call Ezza-Ekwe - Exchange gold
We controlled all 3 because only our lake has Mg 94.2% - Sea salt has Na 99% - Not same - Our salt cures body - That is why traders came to Udo 6.15N 7.98E.
WHAT WE HAVE NOW:
- British: Full FOI-26088 + Af1907,1111.14 + CSE 1/85/4592 + Basden 1921 p87 + Bubendorf 1925 diary 5 June
- Hausa: Reference Palmer Box 42 Arewa Kaduna - Need photo
- Cameroon: Reference Buea Band 23 1905 German - Need translation
- Ghana: Reference ADM 11/1/1675 Accra - Need copy
Next action: We will file FOI to Ghana and Arewa and Buea same style as British Museum FOI-26088 that gave us Af1907,1111.14.
