The Reality Of A Man’s Life
A man can spend his entire life giving, yet somehow, everyone still feels he isn’t doing enough.
His children need more. His wife needs more. His parents need more. His siblings need more. His dependants need more.
And he keeps giving.
When his salary comes, he doesn’t ask, “What can I buy for myself?” He asks, “Who needs something?”
Sometimes, the only thing he takes from his own salary is enough for transportation to work, because he knows he has to get there tomorrow and keep working for everyone else.
He suppresses his own desires. He postpones his own dreams. He wears the same clothes. He delays fixing his own problems. He smiles when he is tired. He says, “I’m fine,” when he desperately needs help.
And the painful part?
The people he sacrifices for may never fully understand what it cost him to provide what they received.
A man can be drowning silently while everyone around him is asking why he hasn't done more.
He is expected to be strong, but rarely asked if he is tired. Expected to provide, but rarely asked what he needs. Expected to protect everyone, but often has no one protecting him.
Perhaps that is one of the saddest realities of a responsible man:
Everyone counts on him, but very few people check on him.
And sometimes, the most underappreciated person in a family is the man who is quietly carrying the weight of everyone else.
