Dimitri Leslie Roger (born on July 13, 1992), who is known professionally as Rich the Kid, is an American rapper. Following the release of several independent mixtapes, he entered into a contract with Interscope Records in 2017 so that he could launch his first studio album, The World Is Yours (2018). The album reached number two on the Billboard 200 and was supported by his most well-known singles ‘New Freezer’ (which features Kendrick Lamar) and ‘Plug Walk’.
His second and third studio albums, The World Is Yours 2 (2019) and Boss Man (2020), achieved positions four and 24 on the chart, respectively. He has also put out the collaborative mixtapes Nobody Safe (2020) with YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Trust Fund Babies (2021) with Lil Wayne. Moreover, he set up the record label Rich Forever Music in 2016, via which he has secured rappers Famous Dex and Jay Critch.
The fact that his 2024 single ‘Carnival’ (a track featuring ¥$ and Playboi Carti) reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 marked a phase of resurgence, as it was his first song to achieve that position. Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign, who were the co-performers on the song, also acted as executive producers on Roger’s fourth studio album, Life’s a Gamble (2024), which did not chart in any territory.
