The local league is a breeding ground for future stars in Nigeria and if properly managed we can have alot of players readily available to replace players that are aging in the national team . Some of the players in Bendel insurance fc that I watched in the local scene who now emerged as future Super Eagles stars were Pius Ikhedia,Julius Aghahowa and Osaze Odemwingie Plus Ikhedia and Julius Aghahowa played at the same time for Bendel insurance fc and Pius Ikhedia was clearly the star of Bendel insurance fc then as he single handedly carried the team on his shoulders with his dazzling runs.
Julius Aghahowa was mostly coming in as a substitute and you see fans shouting police, police as it seems he was a police man then or he was playing for a police team. Osaze Odemwingies father was the team Doctor of Bendel insurance fc then and his son became a star for Bendel insurance scoring very vital goals. They were all able to travel out and eventually making the national team.
