APC Chieftain Urges Nigerians To Back Tinubu For Continuity In 2027

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Dr Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa, has urged Nigerians to prioritise continuity and stability ahead of the 2027 general elections. In a statement made available to TVC News, Bolarinwa defended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidy and the unification of the foreign exchange market.

He acknowledged the economic difficulties facing Nigerians but argued that major structural reforms require time and policy stability to deliver their intended benefits. Bolarinwa also criticised opposition figures seeking to challenge President Tinubu in 2027, particularly former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, questioning his record in public office and his recent criticism of the administration.

The APC chieftain also took issue with recent comments attributed to former Transportation Minister Rotimi Amaechi, while urging Nigerians to assess former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi’s record in office before making their electoral choice. He said the 2027 election should be determined by leadership experience, performance and proven capacity rather than opposition rhetoric.

Bolarinwa described President Tinubu as the most tested candidate to lead the country through the next phase of its economic and political development.
