Touchaheart News—Actress Selma Blair was arrested after allegedly trying to open a plane door mid-flight and attacking two flight attendants on a Delta Airlines flight to New York’s JFK Airport.
The incident occurred on Sunday, October 11, aboard Delta Flight 938 from Los Angeles. Authorities said Blair punched one flight attendant and bit another.
Two crew members reported injuries, with one taken to hospital.
Port Authority Police responded after the plane landed around 11 p.m. Blair, 54, was taken into custody and transported to the hospital for evaluation. The FBI is investigating the matter.
Blair’s representative said she experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct.
“Upon landing, she received immediate medical attention and is currently in stable condition,” the statement read.
Delta Airlines said it has zero tolerance for unruly or unlawful behavior and that the safety of customers and crew comes first.
The flight itself landed without operational disruption. It remains unclear whether Blair will face formal criminal charges.
