A 12-month residence permit to live in Germany and look for a qualifying job. Introduced June 1, 2024.
*What you can do:* - Stay up to 12 months in Germany to job hunt - Work 20 hrs/week part-time + 2-week job trials - Switch to work permit if you find a suitable job
*Who qualifies? 2 ways:*
*A. Full recognition:* If your degree is fully recognized in Germany, apply directly.
*B. Points system (Need 6 points):* - Qualification: 4 pts - Experience (2-5 yrs): 2-3 pts - Language German A1-B2 / English B2: 1-3 pts - Age under 35: 2 pts, 35-40: 1 pt - Previous Germany stay / spouse skill: 1 pt each
*Basic needs:* Blocked account ~€12,324/yr, health insurance, A1 German or B2 English.
*It is NOT:* Guaranteed job, guaranteed visa, or family visa.
