How much is a day-old chick at the moment? Also, how many bags of feed will it cost to raise 40 chicks from starter to finisher? (Replies: day-old chicks range about N1,300-1,600; budget ~5.5-6kg of feed per broiler over 8 weeks, i.e. about 220-240kg or 9-11 bags of 25kg feed for 40 birds; 25kg bags range roughly N21k-25k depending on brand and location.)
