Filmmaker Pascal Amanfo writes to Frederick Leonard as he reveals his major problem

Nollywood filmmaker Pascal Amanfo has written a message to Frederick Leonard. In a social media post, he said the talented actor has a problem: his unrepentant love for deep, pulsating, riveting stories driven by a craving for artistic excellence. He noted that long before fancy cameras, lights, and Instagram highlights, stories were the soul of Nollywood, and viewers were drawn into a world where emotions felt overpowering.

Pascal described Leonard as his brother and creative kind, and called him one of the Lords of Nollywood. “The problem with Frederick Leonard. Yes! You read that right! Frederick Leonard has a problem! It is that unrepentant affinity for deep, pulsating and riveting stories, hinged on the soulish crave for artistic excellence that trails everyone who experienced the golden age of Nollywood.

Long before fancy cameras, lights, and Instagram highlights, stories were the soul of Nollywood! The viewer was drawn into a world where emotions felt overpoweringly real, and actors acted like their lives depended on it. Literally. From the dusty red soils of Enugu to the bustling streets of Festac, long before black had any magic and before dragons were made Red, stories ruled, and DVD plates scratched.

Gone are the days, but here we are! To my brother and creative kind. Owelle, it might not be far from the truth that on our side of the planet, the Suzerainty of film has Lords, and you’re definitely one of them”. Last year, Etinosa revealed in a social media post that Leonard blocked her on Instagram because she pointed out how he always mistreated people’s crew members on set.

Praying for Thunder to fire him, she noted that crew members are human beings, and as such, he shouldn’t still be treating them like animals and making clout-chasing videos to look like a good person. Not done, she recalled how the movie star called a script supervisor to come closer which she did, pulled her dress close to his face and used it to clean his sweat. Etinosa said the lady protested, and Frederick yelled at her and demanded that she be kicked out of the set because he was a God.

Etinosa noted how God, who created the universe, would never do such as she slammed him for his bad behavior. Concurring with her, movie producer, Stanley Nwoko noted how Frederick also blocked him because he told him the truth about his unruly behavior. He claimed that the light-skinned movie star threatened to leave a movie set if Stanley Ontop was in it. Stanley slammed the actor for always talking down on crew members, and how he sees himself as the most handsome and the God of Nollywood.

In a previous post, Stanley dragged Leonard for allegedly bullying crew members on a movie set. He claimed that the light-skinned actor was always trying to prove that he was the best actor in Nollywood. He accused him of constantly cheating on his wife, Peggy Ovire. Promising that someday the law would get to him, he considers him the worst actor in Nollywood.
