Robert Holmes Bell Jr., who was born in 1970, is an American author, speaker, playwright, musician and former pastor. He founded the Mars Hill Bible Church in Grandville, Michigan and served as its pastor until 2012; during his leadership the church was one of the fastest-growing in America. Bell is also the author of the New York Times bestseller Love Wins and has written and narrated a series of spiritual short films known as NOOMA.
In 2011 Time included Bell in its list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World; since then he has worked as a freelance writer and speaker, giving appearances on a number of talk shows and undertaking national speaking tours on issues concerning spirituality and leadership.
