Nigerian pastor Odumeje or Indaboski, has gone viral again with one of his bold and hilarious statements. In a widely circulating video, the Onitsha‑based cleric declared that anyone who sponsors a university graduate automatically becomes a graduate too. He explained that he paid for his wife Uju’s university education, so her degree is also his. He said: “He that trains a graduate in university is also a graduate.
My wife is a graduate, so if you speak English better than me, I will bring out my wife.” Odumeje added that the money, sacrifice and effort involved in sponsoring someone through school qualifies the sponsor as a “graduate trainer,” which in his words makes them a graduate as well. He joked that if he does not want to speak English, his wife can “represent” him as Mrs Lion himself, because “when you are a graduate, there is a way you must be talking.”
