A 19-year-old uk based Nigerian teenager has been arrested and charged in Barbados following the seizure of 23.4 kilogrammes of suspected cocaine valued at approximately BDS$1.17 million.
The suspect, identified as [b]Abdul-Rasheed Anjolaoluwa Oduola[b], is from Dagenham, East London, United Kingdom. He was apprehended by the Narcotics Unit of the Barbados Police Service in connection with the drug seizure.
Oduola is facing multiple charges, including possession of cocaine, trafficking, possession with intent to supply and attempting to export the illegal substance.
According to the police, the seized 23.4kg of suspected cocaine has an estimated street value of one million, one hundred and seventy thousand Barbados dollars.
The teenager is expected to appear before the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court on Friday, October 2, 2026, to answer to the charges.
