Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson and her husband, Prince Odi Okojie, have won many hearts with their kind gesture to an eldérly woman. Prince Odi, in a social media post, revealed that he and his wife had completed an eldërly woman’s house after watching a video of her and her son living in a structure. Sharing photos of the completed house, he said they would commission it today and hand it over.
“A NEW HOME, A NEW BEGINNING About three weeks ago, I shared with you the heartbreaking story of an older adult and her son who were living in a structure that could hardly be called a home. After my wife and I watched the video, she insisted we could not just watch and do nothing. That moment became the beginning of a journey to give them a safe, decent and befitting home. Today, by the special grace of God Almighty, I am filled with immense joy to announce that the house is now COMPLETED!
What started with a Facebook post and a heartfelt decision to help has, by God’s grace, become a beautiful reality. The smiles that will replace the tears, the dignity that has been restored, and the joy of knowing that this mother and her son now have a place they can proudly call their OWN. Tomorrow, Sunday, 4th October, we shall officially commission and hand over this new home to them.

Kemi Filani reported in May that Prince Odi had emerged victorious in the APC primary election in Esan North East Federal Constituency. Celebrating with her husband, Mercy applauded him, assuring him that the people are always with him.
Earlier this year, the Edo State politician had embarked on massive empowerment in his constituency. He had supported farmers with produce and vehicles for easy movement, supported students with laptops, donated security vehicles for the police, supported individuals from the Okada association, and supported mobility. In 2022, Prince Okojie kept smiles on the faces of widows. Mercy, via her Instagram page, had shared a video of her and her husband reaching out to the widows and other women in her community, as she expressed gratitude to their sponsors.
The politician also warmed the hearts of Nigerians by gifting a septuagenarian, Elder Francis Uhioh of Amando Quarters, Amendokhian, Uromi, a new house. Sharing photos on his Instagram page, Prince Okojie thanked God for helping them fulfil the promise made to the stranger, whom they had never met.
