ABUNDANT LIFE VISION The One that sits on the throne. Revelation 5:13 And then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea. They sang: “Blessing and honor and glory and power belong to the one sitting on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever.” NLT.
Good morning, dear friends. I welcome you to today's teaching titled 'the One that sits on the throne. God, the creator of the heavens and the earth is the One that sits on the throne. I have taught before on this platform that the throne of God is means power and authority. The throne goes beyond the seat but a symbol of power and authority. God is all powerful and the creator of all things. The one that sits on the throne is the one that is in charge of all things both in heaven and on earth.
The Bible establishes that heaven is God's throne and the earth is his footstool. This implies that earth that is metaphorically referred to as God's footstool is part of God's rule. He has power and authority over the earth. It is crucial to note that God does not have authority bestowed upon him by any external body. He is self-existing. He is sufficient, needing no validation from anyone. Isaiah 66:1: This is what the Lord says: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Could you build me a temple as good as that? Could you build me such a resting place? NLT.
Today's teaching informs us about God's sovereignty. The One that sits on the throne is God and the reigns supreme. He is the eternal one that gives eternal life to everyone that believes in Jesus Christ and confesses that Jesus Christ is Lord. He is the One everyone will bow to in the end because we proceed from Him. The One that sits on the throne has provided salvation from sin and eternal damnation for us through Jesus Christ and if you have not given your life to Him, I urge you to do it now so that you can live in His presence forever.
If you are ready, say this prayer wholeheartedly: Dear Lord Jesus, I believe that you are God who came in human form to die for my sins. confess you today as my Lord and saviour, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life and I will serve you forever more. Amen. If you have recited the prayer wholeheartedly, I congratulate you and I urge you to join a Bible believing church around you as you begin your growth in Christ.
God bless you.
